About the program
Model G20 is an immersive simulation of the G20 Leaders’ Summit, where participants step into the shoes of world leaders to negotiate global economic cooperation. Hosted on the FLAME University campus in Pune and organised by One Young India, it is a premier platform for students who want to move beyond debate and into the realm of formal policy advocacy — producing academic white papers and high-level presentations. Unlike traditional simulations, it emphasises the academic rigour of global governance, bridging the gap between student discourse and professional policy-making.

Why Model G20
Model G20 isn’t Model UN. It simulates how the world’s largest economies actually get things done — by consensus, not a vote.
You work the real G20 agenda — economic stability, climate, trade, digital governance — not generic resolutions.
No majority vote and no veto. Delegates negotiate a shared communiqué — the harder, more real diplomatic skill.
Dual Sherpa & Finance tracks, lobbying, crisis simulations and communiqué drafting — closer to how the summit actually runs.
Top delegates are recognised at the closing ceremony and the strongest go on to present at the Asia Society Policy Institute.
The experience
Take on real-world topics like Climate Action, International Finance and the Digital Economy across the Sherpa and Finance tracks.
Delegates submit academic white papers — select papers are eligible for publication through One Young India.
Receive a joint certificate of participation from One Young India and FLAME University.

Delegates get a research pack and track brief, choose their country and committee, and write a position paper — arriving prepared, not cold.
